Deion Taylor scored 12 points and Richmond easily handled woeful Fordham 72-55 on Saturday.

Terry Allen and Kendall Anthony each scored 11 points for the Spiders (16-11, 6-6 Atlantic 10), who have won two straight. Darien Brothers finished with 10 points.

Richmond went into halftime with a 31-23 lead, but more accurate shooting help increased their advantage in the second half. The Spiders shot 55.6 percent (15 of 27) from the floor in the second half, compared to 37.5 percent (9 of 24) in the first.

Anthony knocked down a 3-pointer with 9:54 left to play to give the Spiders a 52-36 lead. Derrick Williams made a free throw with 3:38 remaining to push Richmond's lead to 22 points — the largest of the game.

Mandell Thomas scored 17 points for the Rams (6-22, 2-11), who have lost eight straight. Jeffrey Short had 12 points.
