AC Milan and Inter Milan may enter Sunday's derby separated by just one point, but they are miles apart in terms of current form.

The Rossoneri got off to a terrible start in Serie A, but have recovered to climb to third place on the strength of a seven-game unbeaten streak.

Milan is also coming off its biggest win of the season on Wednesday, a stunning 2-0 upset victory over Barcelona in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League matchup.

"I struggled to sleep on Wednesday night, but I feel that same level of adrenaline after league games too," Milan vice president Adriano Galliani told La Republica.

"I've got football fever and just like the players I'm going to keep on thinking about what I've just seen over and over again in my mind. And that suits me just fine."

Goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari handed Milan the huge win on Wednesday, but the club must now regroup in the hopes of avoiding a fourth successive derby defeat to Inter.

The Nerazzurri is headed in the opposite direction at the moment, losing 4-1 to Fiorentina in its last Serie A match, dropping the club below AC Milan into fifth place.

Inter has managed just two wins from its last nine league games and manager Andrea Stramaccioni is hopeful his team can rebound on Sunday to begin a push for a top-three place.

Juventus enters the weekend four points clear at the top of Serie A and faces a Siena side that sits in the bottom three. However, Siena has earned 10 points from its last five games to revive its hopes of survival.

Second-place Napoli visits Udinese on Monday hoping to keep the pressure on Juve, while fourth-place Lazio attempts to bounce back from a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Siena when the club hosts Pescara, which resides in 19th place.

Fiorentina's big win over Inter moved the Viola to within two points of a Champions League place and the club travels to bottom-half Bologna, Palermo entertains Genoa in an important relegation contest, Sampdoria takes on Chievo, Roma visits Atalanta, Torino tangles with Cagliari and Parma meets up with Catania.
