The nation's leading scorer, Erick Green, says he would trade in a few points for more Virginia Tech victories.

The senior point guard is averaging 25.3 points, nearly three more than Creighton's Doug McDermott's 22.9.

The Hokies' season started well, then quickly nosedived. Green is hoping another turnaround starts Thursday night when the Hokies (11-14, 2-10 Atlantic Coast Conference) play No. 5 Duke (22-3, 9-3) at home.

Virginia Tech has lost eight in a row, but got better production from its other perimeter scorers in a 90-86 overtime loss at N.C. State on Saturday. Jarell Eddie scored 17 points, and Marshall Wood had 14.

Green says if the offense picks back up, the Hokies' last six regular season games could be like their first seven — when they were undefeated.
