It was just Aurelio Andreazzoli's second match in charge of Roma but he managed to guide the team to a stunning 1-0 win over first-place Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Andreazzoli assumed the managerial duties following the sacking of Zdenek Zeman earlier this month and things got off to a rocky start when Roma was handed a 3-1 loss by Sampdoria on Sunday.

But the club has bounced back to the tune of a victory over first-place Juventus as Francesco Totti scored the lone goal of the match.

Totti's goal came in the 58th minute as a loss ball trickled out to him at the top of the box. He fired a one-time screamer from distance that made its way through traffic and into the roof of the net.

It was enough to see Roma claim its first Serie A win of the new year, helping the club improve to 37 points on the season.

Juventus remains on 55 points for the season, but its lead at the top of the table could dwindle to two points if Napoli is able to pick up a win over Sampdoria on Sunday.

Chievo 1, Palermo 1

Verona, Italy - Palermo claimed a second consecutive league draw on Saturday, playing to a 1-1 tie with Chievo at the Stadio M.A. Bentegodi.

Mauro Formica got visiting Palermo off the mark with a goal in the fifth minute of play, but it was canceled out 10 minutes into the second half by Cyril Thereau's penalty kick.

Still, the draw was enough to see Palermo climb out of the Serie A cellar as it improves to 19 points on the season.

Chievo snaps its two-game league slide to improve to 29 points.
