Donovan Kates scored 17 points and Emmy Andujar came off the bench for 13 to lift Manhattan over Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference-foe Fairfield 62-40 Tuesday night, snapping the Stags' five-game winning streak.

Kates was 4-of-6 shooting and Andujar hit 6 of 8 for the Jaspers (9-15, 7-7), who shot 52.3 percent (23 of 44) and improved to 4-0 when shooting above 50 percent from the field.

Fairfield's Josip Mikulic scored the game's first five points as the Stags opened up an 8-4 lead just 5 minutes in. But Manhattan scored the next 20 points to take a commanding 26-8 advantage with 4:27 left to play in the first half.

The Stags (15-11, 7-7) committed seven turnovers and missed 17 straight shots during the spurt while Manhattan made 7 of 11 attempts and converted three three-point plays.

Maurice Barrow had nine points for Fairfield, which made just 15 of 59 shots.
