Amere May scored 15 points and Delaware State won its fourth game in its past five with a 53-44 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory over North Carolina A&T Monday night.

May was 4-of-9 shooting and 6 of 8 at the foul line for the Hornets (10-11, 5-2), who held a 35-29 rebounding advantage and held the Aggies to 29.4 percent shooting (15 of 51).

Jean Louisme scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half for North Carolina A&T (11-12, 4-4), which entered having won four of its last five games. Lamont Middleton added 12 points and Jeremy Underwood scored 10 off the bench. Austin Witter grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked two shots, and now has 15 blocks over his past four games for the Aggies.

North Carolina A&T hit just 23.3 percent (7 of 30) of its shots in the second half as it blew a 22-21 halftime lead.
