Juventus announced on Friday that the club has completed the signing of striker Nicolas Anelka on a six-month contract with the option of a further year.

The 33-year-old joins Juve from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, and the Italian giants will become the 10th different club for Anelka during his career, including stops at Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.

"Anelka is a Juventus player. His contract, which runs until June 30, has been submitted to the league," read a statement on the Juventus website. "The agreement includes the option to renew the deal until June 30, 2014."

Anelka enjoyed a productive spell with Chelsea from 2008-12 as he tallied 59 goals in 184 matches for the Blues, while also being capped 69 times for France and netting 14 goals.
