Jose Calderon is not expected to play for the Detroit Pistons on Friday night because of visa issues following his trade this week from Toronto.

The Spanish-born guard was at Detroit's practice facility Friday, but the team didn't have any specific word on when he'd be able to take the court. The Pistons host Cleveland on Friday and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

Calderon played for Toronto for seven and a half seasons before being traded to Detroit on Wednesday night. The Pistons sent Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye to Memphis as part of the three-way deal.

Calderon joined the Raptors from Spain in 2005. He is averaging 11.1 points and 7.4 assists this season.
