Valencia, Spain – Argentina's Velez Sarsfield has agreed to sign Fernando Gago of Valencia on a six-month loan deal, it was announced Thursday.
The 26-year-old joined Valencia last summer from Real Madrid after spending the 2011-12 season on loan at Roma. The Argentina native originally made the move to Spain from Boca Juniors in 2007.
"Velez Sarsfield have reached an agreement with Valencia for the loan of Fernando Gago, who will represent the Argentinian champions for the first six months of 2013," read a statement on the club's official website.
The Argentine league is set to resume action on February 9.
