AS Monaco has aided its push for promotion back to Ligue 1 by announcing the signing of Toulouse striker Emmanuel Riviere on Thursday.

Riviere, 22, moves on a four-and-a-half-year contract, hoping to help bring second-place Monaco back in France's top flight.

"I'm very happy and proud to come to this Monaco club which has a beautiful project: promotion to Ligue 1 and the construction of a great team for years to come," Riviere told Monaco's official website.
