Heavy rains altered the schedule for a second consecutive day at the $235,000 Pattaya Open, with all of Wednesday's slated matches postponed due to wet conditions.

The weather was also a factor on Tuesday's Day 2, as three matches were either suspended or postponed because of rain. That included top-seeded and former world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic's first-round bout with Japan's Ayumi Morita, which was stopped with Morita owning a 6-3, 5-7, 2-1 lead in the final set.

Seventh-seeded Russian Elena Vesnina was ahead of Greece's Eleni Daniilidou 6-2, 1-0 when that match was also halted on Tuesday.

Second-seeded Maria Kirilenko, No. 4 seed Sorana Cirstea, No. 5 Sabine Lisicki and eighth-seeded Heather Watson were among those who won their opening-round encounters on Tuesday.
