Defending Mexican champions Tijuana continued their perfect start to the new campaign on Saturday with a 2-0 home win against Pachuca.

Alfredo Moreno fired Tijuana in front in the 58th minute from the penalty spot before Raul Arambula put the result beyond reach with a goal in the 85th, giving Tijuana four wins from its first four games.

The club has outscored its opponents 7-2 so far this season, while Tigres also remained perfect on Saturday with a 2-0 win of its own at Queretaro.

Emanuel Villa found the net five minutes before the break for the visitors, but it wasn't until the 90th minute that the win was secured as Danilinho netted his first goal of the campaign.

Cruz Azul is unbeaten through four games following a 4-0 thrashing of Puebla, San Luis sustained its third defeat of the season when Jesus Zavala scored 13 minutes from time to give Monterrey a 3-2 win, UNAM topped Toluca, 1-0, with Javier Cortes providing the lone tally and Atlante snapped a three-game losing streak by rallying for a 4-3 win over Jaguares as Diego Ordaz and Luis Venegas scored goals in stoppage time to give Atlante the dramatic win.
