The Chicago Fire will have three midfielders returning to the fold this season as the club re-signed Corben Bone and picked up the options on both Alex and Michael Videira.

Bone has appeared in 17 games for the Fire over his three seasons with the team, while Alex joined Chicago over the summer and went on to score two goals in 17 matches following his arrival.

Videira was selected by the New England Revolution in the second round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft and spent one season in Scotland with Hamilton before returning to the Revs.

He moved to Chicago in 2011 and has featured in 12 league games for the club.

Also on Monday, the Fire decided not to pick up the option on Mexican forward Guillermo Franco, who was acquired in September 2012 and made three appearances.
