Adams was 8-of-17 shooting and made a career-best six 3-pointers on 10 attempts, helping the Rattlers (5-14, 2-3) make 8 of 18 from long range.

Rattlers' freshman Trey Kellum pitched in 18 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double.

Despite Kellum's efforts, South Carolina State (4-14, 0-5) won the rebound battle 46-30 and collected 24 second-chance points to the Rattlers' 10.

The Bulldogs committed 16 turnovers, though, leading to 18 Florida A&M points.

The Bulldogs have now dropped 11 straight since beginning 4-3.

The Rattlers used a 24-4 run near the end of the first half for a 42-35 halftime lead.
