The Minnesota Timberwolves signed free agent forward Lazar Hayward on Monday.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Hayward was drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 30th overall pick of the 2010 draft, but was then sent to the Timberwolves in a draft-night trade.

He appeared in 42 games for Minnesota in the 2010-11 season, averaging 3.8 points and 1.7 rebounds.

Over 68 career contests with the Timberwolves and Thunder, Hayward has averaged 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in just over eight minutes per game.
