Shamir Davis scored 14 points to lead six Northwestern State players in double figures as the Demons posted their largest victory margin of the season, 102-52 over LeTourneau on Monday.

Bouncing back from their lowest point total of the season, a 79-61 loss to Arkansas in which they shot just 27.4 percent, the Demons (6-4) were much sharper against the Yellow Jackets (4-8), a Division III team.

Davis and Patrick Robinson, who finished with 13 points, scored nine each in the first half, when Northwestern State took a 54-27 lead.

The Demons shot 53.3 percent while making 24 of 45 first-half shots, more than twice as many attempts as LeTourneau. They had a 25-13 rebounding edge in the half, in which LeTourneau committed 14 turnovers.

Jalan West also scored 13 for Northwestern State, and Gary Stewart, James Hulbin and Gary Roberson had 10 each.
