Taylor Smith scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 60-38 victory over Grambling State on Thursday night.

Stephen F. Austin (9-1) led 27-18 at halftime but shot 54.2 percent from the field in the second half, helping give the Lumberjacks a 28-point lead at one point with just under five minutes to play.

Thanks to Taylor and company, Stephen F. Austin outscored the Tigers 24-4 in the paint. Desmond Haymon scored 10 points and Antonio Bostic added eight points.

The Lumberjacks were 15 of 22 from the free-throw line compared to Grambling State (0-9), which was only 4 of 6. Stephen F. Austin out-rebounded the Tigers 39-24.

Terry Rose scored 21 of his team's 38 points on 8-of-13 shooting including hitting five 3-pointers.
