Lazio put a dent in Inter Milan's title ambitions on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico as Miroslav Klose netted the lone goal in the 82nd minute of Lazio's 1-0 win over the visitors.

The first half was a dull display from both sides but the match heated up a bit after the break with Inter looking to be the more dangerous side.

Fredy Guarin saw his effort from outside the penalty area beat Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti in the 67th minute, but come back off the post.

Five minutes later Inter was denied by the woodwork again as a first-time shot from Antonio Cassano rattled the right post, leaving a rebound chance for Yuto Nagatomo, which was parried by Marchetti.

But after surviving the surge Lazio snatched the win in the final 10 minutes with Stefano Mauri cutting the Inter defense open with a through ball that Klose stroked home from 14 yards.

Lazio moves to within a point of Inter in second place and is unbeaten in its last six matches, while the Nerazzurri sits four points back of leaders Juventus, which will try to extend that lead against Atalanta on Sunday.

Udinese 1, Palermo 1

Udine, Italy - Antonio Di Natale rescued a point for Udinese on Saturday as he scored in the 89th minute of a 1-1 draw against Palermo at the Stadio Friuli.

Palermo took a first-half lead with the benefit of a fortunate bounce when a long-range effort from Josip Ilicic struck a divot in the pitch just in front of goalkeeper Zeljko Brkic and sent the ball looping over the diving netminder.

Udinese went close when Giovanni Pasquale's shot was pushed onto the post by Palermo goalkeeper Samir Ujkani, but the hosts were reduced to 10 men shortly after the hour mark as Thomas Heurtaux collected his second yellow card.

However, after Brkic made a number of saves to keep Udinese within a goal, Di Natale took advantage of a goalkeeping error to level the match.

Ujkani saved a shot from Di Natale, but as he attempted to collect the rebound, he collided with a defender and left the ball sitting a few yards from goal for the striker to pounce upon and fire into the back of the net.
