Juventus striker Nicklas Bendtner could be facing up to three months on the sidelines after injuring his leg in the club's Coppa Italia match against Cagliari on Wednesday.

The Danish international was forced to leave the match before halftime and he will undergo further testing to reveal the full extent of the injury.

"Nicklas Bendtner has undergone an MRI scan and ultrasound that have revealed a lesion on his left adductor tendon," said a statement on the club's official website. "The prognosis will become clearer after further examinations which the Danish striker will undergo in the coming days."

Bendtner, on loan from Arsenal, has struggled to make an impact in Serie A, failing to score in eight appearances with the Italian champions.
