NCAA lists top 75 players in tournament history for fans to vote on

The NCAA analyzed statistical data from tournament games only to determine the 75 player finalists. The list, part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the NCAA tournament, was compiled and researched by the NCAA's basketball and statistics staff, which consulted with the NCAA's media partners and selected members of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The fan voting at NCAA.com/MarchMadness will begin in January with the top 15 players announced at the Final Four in April.
