Lakers starting forward Pau Gasol was not at the team's morning shootaround and will likely miss his fifth straight game with tendinitis in his knees.

As Los Angeles began a four-game road trip, coach Mike D'Antoni didn't think Gasol would play against the Cavaliers. D'Antoni would not speculate if Gasol would play on the trip and said his progress will be evaluated daily.

Lakers point guard Steve Nash, who has missed 19 games with a broken leg, has only been cleared to jog but not practice. D'Antoni said Nash is also likely to miss the Lakers' next four games. D'Antoni said Nash will have to play some 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 before he can return. Nash worked alone with a trainer on the floor at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Lakers (9-12) have lost seven of 10.
