PSG kept the pressure on first-place Lyon on Tuesday, riding a hat trick from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a 4-0 defeat of Valenciennes at the Stade du Hainaut.

The Sweden international opened the scoring in the 27th minute and PSG never looked back.

Ibrahimovic extended the lead with goals in the 48th and 53rd minutes, bringing his Ligue 1 scoring tally to 17 on the season.

Ezequiel Lavezzi wrapped up the scoring eight minutes from time, chipping in with his second league goal of the season.

The win brings PSG to 32 points on the campaign, two points shy of Lyon, which faces Nancy on Wednesday.

Valenciennes remains on 26 points, tied with four other clubs vying for fourth place.

Lille 2, Toulouse 0

Lille, France - Lille grabbed two second-half goals at the Grand Stade Lille Metropole on Tuesday in a 2-0 defeat of Toulouse.

Marko Basa broke the deadlock in the 55th minute before Dimitri Payet secured the victory seven minutes from time, lifting Lille to 25 points on the season.

Toulouse has taken just one point from its last three Ligue 1 games to drop out of the top-half of the table, sitting 11th in France's top flight with 23 points through 17 games.

Nice 1, Rennes 0

Nice, France - Dario Cvitanich converted a second-half penalty to help Nice claim a 1-0 victory over nine-man Rennes at the Stade Municipal du Ray on Tuesday.

Rennes was reduced to 10 men in the 53rd minute when Jean Kana Biyik was sent off. Things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Yassine Jebbour was sent off 12 minutes later for denying a scoring opportunity. Cvitanich took advantage by converting the ensuing spot kick.

Nice, unbeaten in its last seven Ligue 1 contests, improves to 26 points to go level with Rennes.
