Edinson Cavani and Gokhan Inler both bagged a pair of goals and Marek Hamsik also scored, as Napoli hammered 10-man Pescara, 5-1, on Sunday at the Stadio San Paolo in Serie A.

Inler and Hamsik scored inside 15 minutes and, after Pescara lost a man in the second half, Cavani added a brace and Inler completed his double to seal a big win.

Cavani is second in Serie A with 10 goals, while Hamsik has seven.

Second-place Napoli closed within two points of leader Juventus, which opened a five-point cushion Saturday with a 3-0 win over Torino in the Turin derby.

Pescara lost its fourth straight to remain cemented on the foot of the table.

Lazio 2, Parma 1

Rome, Italy - Miroslav Klose scored the match-winner, his ninth goal of the season, as Lazio beat Parma, 2-1, on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico for its third win during a four-game unbeaten streak.

Giuseppe Biava scored the first goal for Lazio in the 25th minute and Klose followed nine minutes later, providing enough offense to hold off Parma.

Ishak Belfodil followed his own penalty miss in the 66th for the lone goal for Parma, which had a three-game unbeaten streak snapped.

Lazio is six points off the summit, while Parma is 15 points off the pace.

Inter Milan 1, Palermo 0

Milan, Italy - Inter Milan needed an own goal from Santiago Garcia late in the second half to edge Palermo, 1-0, on Sunday at the San Siro in Serie A.

Inter dropped points in half of its first six home matches, and was in danger of a second draw against two losses when Garcia turned the ball into his own net in the 74th minute.

Milan used the gift to secure its 10th win of the season and moved back within four points of first-place Juventus. Palermo lost for the third time in its last five and sits just two points out of the bottom three.

Roma 3, Siena 1

Siena, Italy - Mattia Destro scored a brace and Simone Perrotta also scored as Roma notched three goals after the hour mark to down Siena, 3-1, on Sunday at Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A.

Neto scored inside 25 minutes as Siena took the lead at home, but Destro moved Roma level in the 63rd, Perrotta put Roma ahead in the 86th and Destro secured the comeback win in stoppage time.

Roma won its third straight and for the fourth time in its last five to climb to within nine points of leader Juventus. Siena had a four-match unbeaten run snapped, as it remained in 19th and off the foot only on goal differential.

Fiorentina 2, Sampdoria 2

Florence, Italy - Stefan Savic scored twice to help Fiorentina climb up to fourth place in Serie A on Sunday, earning a point for his club in a 2-2 draw with Sampdoria at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Savic opened the scoring in the 20th minute before a goal from Nenad Krsticic in the 47th and an own goal from Gonzalo in the 71st saw Sampdoria jump out in front. But Savic completed his brace in the 74th minute to help Fiorentina improve to 29 points, level with Lazio but ahead of the Roman club on goal differential.

Sampdoria's two-game winning streak comes to an end, though the club is unbeaten in its last three league contests to climb to 17 points.

Udinese 4, Cagliari 1

Udine, Italy - Roberto Pereyra, Gabriele Angella, Danilo and Giovanni Pasquale scored and Udinese rolled to a 4-1 victory over Cagliari on Sunday in Serie A at the Stadio Friuli.

Pereyra and Angella scored in the first half and Danilo and Pasquale followed after the break, as Udinese snapped a six-game league winless run to move into the top half of the standings.

Cagliari lost its second straight and for the third time during a five-fixture winless run.

Chievo 4, Genoa 2

Genoa, Italy - Alberto Paloschi scored a hat trick in the first half as Chievo downed Genoa, 4-2, on Sunday at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris for its first point on the road in Serie A this season.

Chievo lost its first six road games this season and was outscored 16-3 in the process, but Paloschi scored in the 14th, 22nd and 45th minutes to spark a big road win that moved the club three points clear of the bottom three.

Genoa lost for the fourth time in its last five, as it slipped to 18th place.

Bologna 2, Atalanta 1

Bologna, Italy - Manolo Gabbiadini scored 20 minutes from time as Bologna beat Atalanta, 2-1, on Sunday at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara to move out of the last three in Serie A.

Alessandro Diamanti also scored for Bologna, which has won two of three games to climb to 17th place. German Denis scored for Atalanta, which lost its third in a row to slip to 11th place.
