Twente moved to the top of the Eredivisie on Saturday after claiming a 2-0 home win against Den Haag.

Twente came into the weekend two points back of leaders PSV Eindhoven. But the win, combined with PSV's 3-1 defeat at Ajax, moves Twente one point clear at the top.

After a scoreless first half, Den Haag went down to 10 men shortly after the break as Tjaronn Chery was sent off.

From there, Twente took advantage with Dusan Tadic and Dmitry Bulykin both scoring goals to give Twente its 10th win in 15 games.

PSV and Ajax were level at 1-1 through 70 minutes as Jeremain Lens canceled out Siem De Jong's opener for Ajax.

But the hosts closed out the match strongly as Danny Hoesen put them in front before Viktor Fischer's goal in the 87th sealed the win.

Graziano Pelle scored a goal in each half as Feyenoord topped RKC Waalwijk, 2-0, while Willem II collected its second win of the season, securing a 3-1 home win over Heerenveen.
