Charlie Lee scored a career-high 22 points and hit a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left to give Cleveland State its first lead of the game in a 78-73 win over Toledo on Saturday.

The Vikings (6-2), who trailed by 10 in the first half, tied the score four times, including 71-71 with 1:23 left after a Sebastian Douglas steal and layup. Following Lee's go-ahead trey, Douglas added another steal and layup with 19 seconds to go.

After a foul on Cleveland State and some pushing and shoving resulting in offsetting technical fouls, Reese Holliday's two free throws made it 76-73 with 10 seconds left. Lee was fouled immediately and hit two free throws.

Lee was 7 of 10 from the field, hitting 4 of 6 3-pointers and also had seven assists.

Bryn Forbes added 16 points and Tim Kamczyc 15 for the Vikings.

Matt Smith's 20 points led Toledo (2-5).
