The Philadelphia 76ers will try to become the third team in the Atlantic Division with 10 wins when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats Friday night.

The Nets and Knicks both have 10 wins and are in action Friday evening.

Philadelphia has won two in a row and five of seven games, including Tuesday's 100-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks behind 22 points from Evan Turner. Thaddeus Young added 20 points and Jrue Holiday had 18 for the 76ers, who used a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter and held off a late Dallas rally.

"That's what we've been doing a lot lately, locking down defensively when we have to and making big plays," said Holiday.

Dallas had eight turnovers in the fourth quarter after having just seven the first three quarters,.

Turner has scored in double figures in each of the past seven games -- a career high -- and Young is averaging 19.7 points per game in the previous three contests.

The Sixers, who completed a stretch of eight of nine games at home, will also visit Chicago on their quick two-game road swing. They have been scoring quite often lately, too, posting 100-plus points in three straight and four of five games. Philly posted 100 or more points just once in the first 10 games.

Charlotte has already matched last season's win total of seven and will commence a three-game homestand Friday versus the Sixers, Blazers and Knicks.

The Bobcats have dropped two in a row and three of four games, and suffered a 94-91 setback at Atlanta on Wednesday. Ben Gordon had 26 points off the bench, Ramon Sessions added 18 in a reserve role and Kemba Walker finished with 15 points for the Bobcats, who shot just 39.5 percent from the floor, but made 12-of-24 3-pointers.

Gordon scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, setting a franchise record for points in a quarter. Gordon buried 7-of-10 3-pointers, including five in the final stanza, and is 42 points shy of 10,000 in his career. Sessions has scored in double figures in 13 of the 14 games this season.

Charlotte was coming off an embarrassing 114-69 loss to the Thunder.

"Especially with the (Oklahoma City) performance, to come back here against a hot Atlanta team and play with great integrity showed a lot," Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap said.

The Bobcats' 7-7 record is the best 14-game start to a season in franchise history, eclipsing the 6-8 mark from the 2007-08 squad. The loss to the Hawks was their first in games decided by four points or less (6-1).

Charlotte lost all three meetings with Philadelphia a season ago and is just 1-5 in the past six matchups between the teams. The Sixers have won two in a row at Charlotte after losing the previous six encounters there.
