St Johnstone coach Steve Lomas was banned for eight games Thursday by the Scottish Football Association for use of foul and abusive language toward a match official.

Lomas was sent off during a 1-1 draw against Celtic last month and six matches of the ban are for that incident at Parkhead. The final two matches are for a September incident in a game against Ross County.

"This ban consists of six games for the offence committed at Celtic Park plus the suspended two-game ban which was already hanging over him following the game against Ross County in Dingwall in September," a statement on the club's website read.

Lomas was also sent off Wednesday night in a 1-0 loss to Hibernian, and could face even more punishment for that incident.
