Tijuana overcame a two-goal deficit in the first leg against Leon to reach the Mexican Apertura final as Richard Ruiz scored in the final minute of a 3-0 Tijuana win, allowing the club to advance on aggregate, 3-2.
Fidel Martinez started the comeback with a goal in the 43rd minute, while Duvier Riascos leveled the aggregate score in the 68th, leaving things up for grabs.
Substitute Ruiz then struck the final blow shortly before full time, securing Tijuana's place in the final against Toluca.
Toluca also had a close call as the team squandered a two-goal advantage against America from the first leg, only to get a second-half goal from Edgar Benitez.
Goals from Miguel Layun and Daniel Montenegro in the first half leveled the aggregate score at 2-2, but Benitez struck shortly before the hour mark to help Toluca advance.
