Dave Sexton, who led Chelsea to FA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup victories in the 1970s, has died. He was 82.

Sexton's death was announced Sunday by the English Football Association. No date or cause of death was given.

Sexton coached Chelsea from 1967-74. Chelsea won the FA Cup in 1970 and the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year.

Sexton also coached Manchester United for four years starting in 1977.
