Tanner Riley scored 23 points, Kevin Bailey had 14 and Ryan Nicholas just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds to give Portland an 81-60 victory over Portland State on Wednesday night.

Portland (2-2) was unconscious in the first half, nailing 71 percent of its shots by going 22 of 31 from the field including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc. Four of the five 3-pointers came from Riley who was a perfect 4 for 4. In fact, he didn't miss all night, going 8 for 8 from the field and 3 for 3 from the free-throw line. The hot-shooting Pilots claimed a 51-30 half time advantage.

Portland State (1-2) had three players in double figures with Dre Winston scoring 13 points and recording seven rebounds. The Vikings shot only 35.7 percent from the field and had 15 turnovers but were 18 of 22 from the free-throw line.
