Velton Jones sank a game-high nine free throws en route to 16 points and Robert Morris rallied to a 71-60 victory over Bowling Green on Monday night.

Mike McFadden and Coron Williams had 12 points apiece while Anthony Myer-Pate chipped in 11 points and a game-high five assists. His dime on Williams' second 3-pointer of the night helped Robert Morris cut a five-point, second-half deficit to 46-44.

Robert Morris (2-3) took its first lead of the half, 50-49, behind a 3-pointer from Jones — assisted by Myer-Pate — with 8:57 left to play. Bowling Green would not get any closer than three the rest of the way.

Bowling Green (1-3) shot 57.1 percent (12 of 21) from the field in the first half but regressed to 42.9 percent (24 of 49) in the second half.

Robert Morris outrebounded Bowling Green 33-26 and converted 16 of 20 free throws.
