Aldreakis Allen and Sirchauncey Holloway combined for four touchdowns — including two in the fourth quarter — and Liberty defeated Virginia Military Institute on Saturday in the season finale for both teams.

VMI (2-9, 1-5 Big South Conference) took a 7-0 lead behind a 32-yard touchdown pass from Eric Kordenbrock with seven seconds left in the first quarter. But Liberty scored twice in the second quarter — including a 3-yarder from Holloway — to take a 14-7 advantage into halftime.

Kordenbrock threw his second touchdown pass of the day, this time a 6-yarder, to pull VMI within five, 19-14, to begin the fourth quarter.

Liberty (6-5, 4-1) used the ground game to control the final stanza, as Allen scored from 9 yards out to put the Flames ahead 26-14 and Holloway scored from the 1-yard line to create the final margin.

Kordenbrock finished with 220 passing yards for VMI.
