Bordeaux, France – Marseille sits tied atop the Ligue 1 table with PSG at the start of the weekend, but the club will also be trying to end a long streak of futility at Bordeaux on Sunday.
Marseille has a game in hand on PSG, but the club has won just once in its last five matches and could use three points to get back on track.
Bordeaux has lost only once this season, but Marseille will be looking to add to that total with its first win at Bordeaux since 1977.
"We believe we're going to put an end to that run," forward Andre Ayew told the Marseille website.
"Every record is there to be broken, and we're going to try and do that. We're going to try and earn ourselves a place in the history books by winning there."
Bordeaux is sixth entering the weekend and could move ahead of Marseille with a win on Sunday.
PSG will be in action on Saturday against mid-table Rennes but the leaders will be missing a number of key players.
Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and defenders Mamadou Sakho and Gregory Van der Wiel are each out through suspension, leaving PSG short of options in the back and without its leading scorer, Ibrahimovic, who has tallied 10 of PSG's 18 league goals.
Third-place Lyon brings a four-match unbeaten streak into its contest with Reims on Sunday, while the other game on Sunday features Toulouse visiting Nice.
Sochaux sits in the bottom three and travels to Ajaccio, bottom-half sides Bastia and Brest tangle at Stade Francis-le Ble, Evian goes for a second successive win when the club hosts St Etienne, Troyes entertains Nancy in a battle of the bottom two teams in Ligue 1 while Montpellier attempts to extend its unbeaten streak to four games at Valenciennes.
On Friday, Lorient handed Lille a 2-0 defeat with goals from Gregory Bourillon and Benjamin Corgnet.
