FC Dallas has gotten its offseason underway as the club announced a contract extension for goalkeeper Richard Sanchez, while four other players were waived.

The 18-year-old Sanchez was signed in February 2011 as a Homegrown goalkeeper, and his new deal runs to the end of the 2015 season.

Sanchez helped lead Mexico to the Under-17 World Cup title, and he served as the backup goalkeeper for six of FCD's games in MLS play.

Bryan Leyva, Bruno Guarda, Ruben Luna and Matias Jara were the four players waived by the club, and they will become available via the waiver draft in December.
