Jaamal Berry rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns and Murray State closed the game with a 29-0 run to stun Tennessee State 49-28 Saturday in an Ohio Valley Conference upset.

The Racers (4-5, 3-3) trailed 28-20 late in the third quarter but scored on three consecutive possessions over the next 5:44. Tennessee State (8-2, 4-2) was shut out in the fourth quarter while Murray State scored three touchdowns.

Michael German, the Tigers' quarterback, threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third. His last scoring pass, a 21-yarder to Joe Bowens, made it 28-20 with 3:44 left in the third quarter. But over the game's final 18:44, Murray State scored four times, twice on short runs by Berry.

Racers' quarterback Casey Brockman (27 of 38, 271 yards) hit Walter Powell for a 27-yard touchdown and Ja-Vonta Trotter for a 5-yard score. Brockman also ran a yard for touchdown himself.
