The Los Angeles Dodgers re-signed reliever Brandon League to a three-year deal on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old was acquired from the Seattle Mariners at the July 31 non- waiver trade deadline.

The fireballer saved 37 games and was an All Star with the Seattle Mariners in 2011, but lost his job as the closer early on this past season.

League tallied six saves and a 2.30 earned-run average in 28 games for the Dodgers.

"We were very pleased with what Brandon provided us after we acquired him," Dodger general manager Ned Colletti said. "He pitched in a couple of different roles including the closer role most of the last month where he was very effective."
