Real Madrid heads to the Iberostar on Sunday, the place where Jose Mourinho's tenure with the Spanish champions began.

The Portuguese tactician arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2010 and promptly brought in the likes of Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, Sami Khedira and Ricardo Carvalho. Their first league contest as members of the historical club was at Mallorca.

That match finished a scoreless draw, but it marked the beginning of an unbeaten streak in league play that last 12 games.

Real Madrid enters the contest riding a four-game undefeated streak in La Liga action, but it will be looking to rattle off another superb run as it looks to get back into the title hunt.

Mourinho's side enters the weekend action holding down fourth place in Spain's top flight, eight points adrift of first-place Barcelona.

The champions stumbled out of the blocks at the start of the season and appeared to be back on the right track, but they fell at Borussia Dortmund in Champions League play on Wednesday, raising questions as to how they will respond.

Mallorca, meanwhile, began the season in admirable fashion, taking 11 points from its opening five league games. But a three-game losing skid has seen Los Bermellones fall off the pace and drop to eighth place.

Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid's most heated rival, has enjoyed a great campaign thus far, taking 22 points from eight games to sit level on points with Barcelona atop the La Liga. Diego Simone's side will look to continue its fine run when it welcomes Osasuna to the Vicente Calderon.

Also on Sunday, Athletic Bilbao hosts Getafe at San Memes, Granada heads to the Ciutat de Valencia to face Levante, and Real Zaragoza faces Sevilla at the Estadio La Romareda.

On Saturday, Barcelona will try to extend its lead atop the table when it heads to the Teresa Rivero to face Rayo Vallecano, promoted sides Celta Vigo and Deportivo square off at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos, Real Betis welcomes Valencia to the Benito Villamarin, and Espanyol hosts Malaga at the Estadi Cornella-El Prat.

And in Monday's lone fixture, Real Sociedad will look to avoid a third straight defeat when it heads to the Jose Zorrilla to face Valladolid.
