The Denver Nuggets waived veteran guard Anthony Carter on Thursday.

Carter, who signed with the team earlier in October, had spent four-plus seasons with the Nuggets (2006-2011) earlier during his 13-year career.

Over the course of his career, Carter has also spent time with the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors, averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 assists per game.

In order to bring their roster to the NBA-maximum 15 players, the Nuggets also waived guard Ben Uzoh.
