Istanbul, Turkey – Fenerbahce midfielder Raul Meireles will be sidelined for a month after suffering a thigh injury on international duty with Portugal, it was announced Thursday.
The 29-year-old Meireles was injured in training ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Russia last week, and will now be out for upcoming Europa League matches and league fixtures.
Meireles joined Fenerbahce from Chelsea over the summer.
