Chris Doak parred the third hole of a playoff to defeat Tim Sluiter and capture his first Challenge Tour win at the Open de Lyon.

Doak carded a 5-under 66 on Sunday while Sluiter recorded seven birdies and an eagle to notch a 63 and charge into a tie for the top spot at 13-under 271.

The playoff took place on No. 18 and both golfers manager par on the first two holes. They both found the rough from the green on the third playoff hole and Sluiter chipped out while Doak found the front of the green with his second shot.

Sluiter then hit his third shot to eight feet and Doak left himself a short par put with his attempt from the edge of the green. After Sluiter's par attempt missed, Doak sent home his short putt to secure the victory.

Joachim B. Hansen recorded a 63 in the final round to move into a tie with Jordi Garcia Pinto (65) and Lloyd Saltman (69) for third place at 12-under 272.
