Series Record: TCU leads 3-2.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Kansas State is No. 2 in the BCS standings and trying to stay in position not only for the Big 12 title but a spot in the national championship game. The Wildcats are going for their first 10-0 record since 1998. This will be the first time for TCU coach Gary Patterson to go against his alma mater, three decades after he was a graduate assistant coach for K-State's first-ever bowl team.

KEY MATCHUP

Assuming Heisman Trophy front-running quarterback Collin Klein play, which seems likely after he came out of last week's game with an apparent head injury, the Kansas State rushing game against the TCU rushing defense. The Wildcats lead the Big 12 with 225 yards rushing per game, and TCU is the league's best rushing defense, allowing only 97 yards per game. Klein and RB John Hubert have combined for 1,558 yards and 29 touchdowns rushing. The Frogs have allowed only six rushing TDs, but five have come in their last four Big 12 games.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kansas State: Klein is a given, but sophomore WR/kick return Tyler Lockett is also a big-play threat. His 34.9-yard average on kickoff returns leads the Big 12, and is well above the current single-season record of 28.5. He has returned two kicks for scores. As a receiver, he has 34 catches for 528 yards and two scores.

TCU: Freshmen QB Trevone Boykin and RB B.J. Catalon. Though he is only 2-3 since being thrust into the starting role, Boykin has become the only TCU quarterback with four passing TDs in consecutive games, and helped the Frogs overcome a 10-point deficit to win at West Virginia last week. A series of injuries cleared the way for Catalon to start, and he has 400 yards rushing along with 17 catches.
