Detroit, MI – Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Max Scherzer left Tuesday's game against the Oakland Athletics with right shoulder fatigue.
The American League strikeout leader lasted just two innings before being replaced on the mound by Darin Downs.
Scherzer is scheduled to undergo an MRI.
