Yankees P Nova will start Saturday

Bronx, NY – New York Yankees starting pitcher Ivan Nova will start Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, the team announced on Wednesday.

Nova was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 24 and was activated on Sept. 9th, but has not pitched since his last start on Aug. 21. He was sidelined after an MRI revealed inflammation in his right rotator cuff.

The 25-year-old is 11-7 with a 4.92 earned run average over 25 starts this season. He had lost four of his last five decisions prior to the injury.
