The Toronto Blue Jays activated catcher J.P Arencibia and third baseman Brett Lawrie from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Arencibia, 26, landed on the DL with a broken right hand on July 26 and has not played since a 16-0 loss to the Oakland Athletics on July 25. In 81 games this season, Arencibia has hit .242 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI.

Lawrie, 22, was put on the DL Aug. 4 with a strained left oblique. Over 100 games for the Blue Jays this season, Lawrie is hitting .282 with nine home runs and 40 RBI.

In addition, Toronto also recalled pitchers David Carpenter and Joel Carreno, as well as infielder Yan Gomes.
