Columbus Crew attacker Federico Higuain was named MLS Player of the Week for the second successive week on Tuesday.

Higuain assisted on all four goals in two matches last week, as the Crew beat the Philadelphia Union, 2-1, and the Montreal Impact, 2-1. He has three goals and six assists in just five matches.

This is the fourth time a Columbus player has won the award this year. Emilio Renteria claimed the award in Week 12, and Jairo Arrieta earned in Week 21.

The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, radio media.
