Bronx, NY – The Baltimore Orioles have activated infielder Wilson Betemit off the 15-day disabled list.
Betemit had been sidelined since mid-August with a right wrist injury. He entered Saturday's action hitting .264 in 97 games with 12 homers and 37 runs batted in.
The Orioles also recalled outfielder Xavier Avery, infielder Steve Tolleson and catcher Luis Exposito on the first day for roster expansion.
Avery hit .233 with in 24 games over three different stints with the Orioles earlier this season and batted .236 in 102 games for Triple-A Norfolk.
Tolleson also appeared in 23 games earlier this season for Baltimore and hit .194, while Exposito went 1-for-17 in eight games for the parent club back in May.
