The Buffalo Bills released 21 players from the active roster Friday, including veteran wide receiver Derek Hagan to get down to the required 53.

Hagan, a six-year veteran, split time between Buffalo and Oakland last season, appearing in 10 games (three starts) and catching 24 passes for 252 yards and one touchdown.

Hagan has spent time with the Dolphins, Giants, Raiders and Bills over his career, compiling 109 catches for 1,221 yards and six touchdowns.

Four other receivers were cut on Friday, including Kamar Aiken, Marcus Easley, Ruvell Martin and Naaman Roosevelt.

Other players released by the Bills included: offensive linemen Mark Asper, James Carmon, David Snow and Keith Williams, tight end Kevin Brock, running backs Zach Brown and Johnny White, linebackers Tank Carder and Scott McKillop, defensive end Robert Eddins, defensive linemen Dwan Edwards, Jarron Gilbert and Kellen Heard, defensive backs Isaiah Green and Nick Saenz and punter Shawn Powell.

Buffalo also placed rookie offensive lineman Zebrie Sanders on injured reserve.
