Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jeff Karstens left Saturday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers with a groin injury.
After giving up consecutive singles to start the eighth, he pitched to a 1-0 count against Norichika Aoki before stepping off the field.
He gave up seven hits and no walks along with four strikeouts to get the win and to improve to 5-3 on the season as the Pirates took a 4-0 victory.
