FC Dallas midfielder David Ferreira was named the Major League Soccer Player of the Week for Week 24 on Monday.

Ferreira was instrumental in Dallas claiming a pair of road victories, against Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Real Salt Lake, as he amassed three assists and one goal in the two matches.

In the 2-0 win over Vancouver, Ferreira set up both goals, with Fabian Castillo scoring on the hour mark before Jonathan Top tallied a goal 10 minutes later.

And only four days after, Ferreira helped Dallas claim a dramatic 2-1 win over RSL as he set up another goal for Castillo before scoring the winner himself deep in stoppage time.

In his last six MLS games, Ferreira has totaled two goals and six assists to help the Hoops to their first three-game winning streak of the season.

The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, radio media.
