Look, everyone has seen the "McKayla Maroney is not impressed" meme at this point. Normally, what's the fastest possible way to kill an entertaining meme? If you said "have some late-night fogey riff on it," you'd normally be spot-on. There's nothing more cringe-worthy than Jay Leno or David Letterman trying to take one of your favorite memes and give it the HAVE YOU SEEN THIS HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS treatment. But after Tuesday night's The Late Show with David Letterman appearance, this may be one meme that even the squarest of the squares can't kill.
The gold-medal winning U.S. women's gymnastic team made a collective appearance on Letterman's show and of course the conversation turned to McKayla not being impressed. She was invited to make the iconic make, but as a special bonus, the entire rest of the team made the face also! It was, in a word, delightful. Check out the video below.
